Refund terms for TextFight purchases processed by FastSpring, our Merchant of Record.

Overview

All TextFight purchases are processed by FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC d/b/a FastSpring), our Merchant of Record. FastSpring handles payment processing, tax collection, and refund fulfillment on our behalf.

All refund requests are reviewed and processed through FastSpring. This policy describes when refunds may be granted and how to request one.

Virtual Currency (Coins)

TextFight Coins are a virtual currency used for in-game purchases such as extra fighter slots, AI portraits, and Ink Passes.

  • Coins that have been spent or partially spent are non-refundable
  • Unused coin packages may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided no coins from the package have been spent
  • Coins are automatically reversed from your account balance upon refund approval
  • Coin packages follow the current five-tier economy: Starter Spark, Fighter's Kit, Battle Crate, War Machine, and Legend's Hoard

Ink Passes

Ink Passes are time-limited gameplay features purchased with Coins. They begin when activated and expire when the timer ends.

  • Activated Ink Passes are non-refundable once any part of the timer has elapsed
  • Unused, unactivated purchases may be reviewed under the same refund process as other coin-funded purchases
  • Ink Passes do not auto-renew and cannot be stacked to bank additional active time

AI Portraits

When you spend Coins on an AI-generated portrait, the generated image and related metadata are stored as part of your character record.

If you delete the character, the active portrait reference is removed from your account record, but previously generated public storage objects may remain as audit artifacts.

AI-generated portraits are non-refundable once they have been delivered to your account.

Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure — you were charged but did not receive the purchased coins or items due to a system error
  • Accidental duplicate purchase — you were charged more than once for the same item in a single transaction
  • Unauthorized transaction — a purchase was made on your account without your authorization

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refund once delivered or consumed:

  • Coin packages where coins have been partially or fully spent
  • Unlocked character slots that have been used to create a fighter
  • AI-generated portraits that have been delivered to your account
  • Ink Passes that have been activated or partially consumed

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email textfight99@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:

  • Your TextFight username
  • The FastSpring order reference number (found in your purchase confirmation email)
  • The date of purchase
  • The reason for your refund request

We will review your request and, if approved, forward it to FastSpring for processing. You may also contact FastSpring directly through the order management link in your purchase confirmation email.

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Upon refund approval, any coins credited from the refunded purchase are automatically reversed from your account balance. If your coin balance is insufficient to cover the reversal, your balance will be set to zero.

Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us for a refund before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider.

Filing a chargeback instead of requesting a refund through the proper channels may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your TextFight account pending investigation. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.

Regional Rights

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws:

  • EU Consumer Rights Directive — EU consumers may have a right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase for unused digital content, subject to applicable exceptions for digital content that has been accessed or consumed
  • Korean Consumer Protection Act — Korean consumers retain all rights provided under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, including rights related to withdrawal of unused digital-content purchases and refund of overpayment
